When I can help

The problem is rarely as simple as it first appears.

Organizations usually arrive with a problem, an opportunity, or a proposed solution. My role is to understand the broader picture, identify what is actually driving the situation, and help determine the best path forward.

01

You’re not sure what comes next

The business has changed, the old playbook is no longer enough, and the right path forward isn’t obvious.

02

An audience asset is underused

You have customers, readers, members, data, or content with more potential than the business is currently realizing.

03

A consequential decision is ahead

You’re considering a new offer, investment, partner, platform, or direction—and want experienced judgment before committing.

“I don’t begin with a formula or a predetermined solution.”

How I work

Listen first. Understand the system. Then decide.

I begin by understanding the business, what has already been tried, and what is really getting in the way. That may lead to a focused strategic assessment, an ongoing advisory relationship, or help guiding a specific initiative.

The work is candid and collaborative. I bring pattern recognition, practical experience, and an operator’s perspective. You bring the context no outsider can fully know. Together, we determine what comes next.

Ways to work together

The engagement should fit the decision—not the other way around.

Some situations need a focused outside assessment. Others require an experienced hand alongside the team through implementation. We define the right scope after understanding what you are trying to accomplish.

01

Strategic assessment and advisory

Clarify what is really happening, identify the choices that matter, and leave with a practical path forward—not a report that sits on a shelf.

02

Growth and recurring-revenue strategy

Strengthen acquisition, conversion, retention, pricing, and product strategy so the economics of the business work together.

03

See the whole business

Map the full value of a company’s audiences, products, content, channels, and capabilities—often revealing a larger and more valuable business than the individual pieces suggest.

04

Interim or fractional leadership

Add experienced management during a transition, restructuring, leadership gap, or important initiative—without making a permanent hire before the right structure is clear.

Selected experience

Judgment built across businesses, business models, and defining moments.

My work has included launches, turnarounds, acquisitions, due diligence, audience and product strategy, recurring-revenue growth, restructuring, and interim leadership.

About Stuart

Advice shaped by having been responsible for the result.

I’ve spent nearly five decades building, operating, advising, and transforming media and audience-driven businesses. I’ve worked as a consultant and as an executive—with responsibility not simply for recommendations, but for what happened after the recommendation was made.

Today, I advise organizations facing important questions about growth, recurring revenue, audience value, product strategy, and business direction. I’m also the founder and publisher of Wellness Health Media, which keeps me firmly on the operator’s side of the table.

I’m most useful when the answer isn’t obvious, the stakes are real, and the people involved are willing to examine the whole situation rather than reach for an easy fix.
